Pathways and The College of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine at Northwestern Health Sciences University are proud to work in collaboration to provide Participants an opportunity to explore and experience acupuncture therapy as part of their healing journey.

Acupuncture is a method of encouraging the body to promote natural healing and to improve functioning. This is done by inserting needles and applying heat or manual  stimulation at very precise acupuncture points.  Acupuncture is a safe and gentle therapy that has been utilized for thousands of years as part of the practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

The acupuncture treatment would begin with an in-depth conversation about your health concerns, past health history, lifestyle, goals for treatment, and any questions you may have about Traditional Chinese Medicine and the treatment process.

Your personal comfort is very important during an acupuncture treatment. Typically you will remain fully clothed during your treatment and be appropriately draped if necessary.  If possible, please try to wear loose comfortable clothing.
